The Burnie Show is a two-day annual regional agricultural show running on the Friday and first Saturday of October. The show is held at the Wivenhoe Showground north-east of Burnie,.
The show features local produce, animals, home arts, cultural and commercial fields, sideshow alley, rides and food and showcases agricultural exhibits like dairy and beef cattle, goats, alpacas (animal and fleece judging) and draught horses.
The Burnie Show usually occurs during the Tasmanian school holidays, which means it attracts a large number of local children to the exhibits, competitions and the rides and entertainments of sideshow alley.
The show has been running for over 100 years and now attracts over 12,000 visitors annually.
